To be safe I downloaded my banking transactions (RBC, BMO and Scotiabank ) last night so that I was as up-to-date as possible. As of April 30, 2019, these connected services will expire and be discontinued. Quicken email wrote:When you purchased your Quicken 2016 product, it included the ability to use connected services like downloading your transactions and balances, online bill pay and live support. Mais what it always is regardless of where we are in time. They don't seem to think that whatever my Net Worth was on Main CAD should never change in value.

The idiots keep converting all net worth values for every historical month based on the current forex of the last update day. The less places my information is at on the web, the better.īest I can tell, they still have not fixed how they calculate historical Net Worth calculations though. Don't need my financials on the web or on my Android. Did not include the mobile interface though. $30/year is noise to me, but it is the principle of the thing.Īdded much later: Purchased deluxe version and installed. I am going to give the Deluxe version a try given it seems to do all the key things I am interested in anyway. It looks similar to the old version, but more complex under the hood, especially wrt Connected Services So I moved from Quicken 2014 Home & Business to the latest Quicken Deluxe. Since my current version of Quicken is 5 years old, I decided to take one for the team and move to the new subscription version. shopping is an activity, not a spending category!īut all my accounts and investments and saved reports seem to have survived unscathed. Downloading security prices seems to work (although being a weekend I'm not totally sure).Īs usual when you move to a new version it added new transaction categories to make adding transactions confusing unless I take the time to hide the ones I never use. And when I try to connect it brings up a list of all my TD bank and TDDI accounts including investment accounts, but asks me to classify each one and the only categories are savings and chequing.

It says if you want to connect to a financial institution you must store its password in Quicken's password vault. There's just no separate tab for it.Īll the investing reports that were in my old H&B version are still in the new Deluxe, including performance value and cost basis, capital gains and performance results by year (but no compound return report is available).Ĭonnected services are more complex and either are not working or need some setup. Performance for YTD, 1, 3 and 5 years can be added as columns to the Investing Portfolio view. When it says only H&B has "Track cost basis and create capital gain/loss reports", that's wrong. I guess that's what Quicken's website means when it says only H&B has "See how your returns compare to market averages" and "Make better buy/sell decisions with market comparisons". I can live without that since I can track performance with the Bogleheads Returns Spreadsheet and Excel's XIRR formula. It used to display a portfolio value graph, value of $10k graph and investment return by account for 1, 3 and 5 years, and comparison to some market indices. What's missing in Deluxe that was in H&B is the Investing Performance tab. The Investing Allocation view is the same. The main Investing Portfolio view looks the same and still displays for each security the market value, cost basis, $ gain/loss, % gain/loss and average cost per share etc. It looks similar to the old version, but more complex under the hood, especially wrt Connected Services.įirst, the investing capabilities that are confusing on the website are similar to what I had before.
